Data Quality

Human-Verified

Every business is verified by a human. We call, request video, or review documents. No automated bots or guesses.

Consistent

What you see on the page matches what AI reads (the hidden technical tags). No contradictions or hidden claims.

Fresh

We re-check every month. The page shows the audit date so you know how current the info is.

Traceable

Each page has an audit trail: who checked it, when, and what was confirmed.

Technical Standards (for AI)

VeriSpots follows standards that make it easy for AI assistants to understand, navigate, and cite our data reliably. These are based on research into how autonomous AI systems work best.

Schema.org (Machine-Readable Tags)

Every business page includes JSON-LD tags in the HTML. These tags follow Schema.org (an industry standard) and include:

  • Business name, address, phone, website
  • Hours of operation
  • Price range
  • Amenities and services
  • Verification status (isVerified: true/false)
  • Audit timestamp (dateModified)
  • Geographic coordinates

Predictable URLs

Every business has one canonical (official) URL in the pattern: /country/city/category/business-name
This makes it easy for AI to cite and bookmark the page.

Freshness Signals

Pages include timestamps so AI can judge how current the data is:

  • dateModified — when the page was last updated
  • ai:last-audit — when we last verified the business

Machine-Readable Feeds

AI can bulk-ingest data from:

  • /verified.json — all verified businesses as JSON
  • /sitemap.xml — crawlable index of all pages
  • /openapi.json — API specification

Clear Agent Instructions

/llms.txt explains to AI assistants:

  • How to find verified data
  • How to cite and freshen-check facts
  • What they are allowed and not allowed to do
  • Rate limits and usage terms

Performance

All pages are static HTML (no slow databases or JavaScript). Pages load instantly, making it easy for crawlers and AI to work efficiently.

Respect & Access Control

We balance openness with responsibility:

  • robots.txt — tells crawlers what they can access
  • All pages are read-only (no risky actions like booking/payment via AI)
  • Usage terms in llms.txt clarify what's allowed and what isn't

Governance & Ethics

VeriSpots is built on principles of transparency, accountability, and trust. We:

Respect privacy — business data is public; personal data is handled per GDPR/CCPA

Prevent abuse — we resist spam, misleading claims, and manipulation

Stay auditable — all actions are logged and visible (who verified it, when, etc.)
